THE PROJECT: The Inter-Galactic Touring Band
1. TRANSPORT.
The most sophisticated rocket in existence is the Stardrive. This will
be the Band's ship. The ship is controlled by one computer, Silver Lady,
a highly developed system of sensitive Vibracon Globes. Each Globe will
have a different function. The main Globe will be programmed to be able
to mother the Band through its journeys. The other Globes are programmed
for musical and visual effects. All act independently of each other.
2. PURPOSE.
The IGTB will tour the Galaxies for a period not less than ten years.
With musical and visual fantasies they will entertain the far colonies
and go beyond to form new relationships with Alien beings. The IGTB will
be exclusively sponsored by the Vibra Corporation and all concerts and
gigs will be free.
3. PUBLICITY AND COMMUNICATION WITH THE MEDIA.
In advance of the Band's appearances a new BIO-STATION will be set up...
This would be called...LOVE STATION. A known celebrity would be chosen
to D.J. the station (I suggest as the best choice...ROMEO JONES). Love
Station will be constructed with the capacity for Hyper-space communication.
This means that Cargo ships trading in far sectors will be able to tune in.
As well as playing the Band's music, Love Station would be a regular promotional
channel for Vibra products.
IGTB EQUIPMENT
LASE GUITARS: This instrument is newly developed in our workshops. The
principle is the same as for the acoustic guitar, except, instead of strings,
light beams are interrupted by the player's fingers, and each interruption
causes a note. The guitar is capable of twenty eight notes on each string.
Alteration of sound would be automatic after programming procedure in conjunction
with ships Vibra banks. The guitar would have to be re-energized
after a month's use.
GLOBE LASE BASS: The same principle applies.
SYNTHESIZED KEYBOARD PANELS: Using technology as developed from 20th Century
master Larry Fast in conjunction with new triggering devices the panels will
enable the band to duplicate any program it wants.
PERCUSSION: Drums will be unchanged. The primitive, yet necessary,
sounds of these instruments should enhance the Band's excitement.
CHOICE OF MEMBERS AND AUDITION PROCEDURE
This is the only part of the project that cannot be logicly anticipated.
The choice of members depends on three important factors.
