Comments: I recently bought the Inter Galactic Touring Band CD on Voiceprint Records, VP251CD, from amazon.com and I am very well pleased with it. The audio transfer to CD is better than I thought and the graphics are very good. The printed lyrics are new, not just a copy from the original booklet. The only thing missing is the Vibra Catalogue which was on the original LP dust sleeve on Passport Records in the USA. These images are on this website. This CD brings back some great memories, and so does this website!
Thank you very much!

Comments: Just to let you know that I also own a vinyl recording of IGTB and have enjoyed it for years. I have preserved my copy and converted the songs to MP3. With the new technology out there today I can now take all my favorite songs and put them on my cell phone. You have done wonders with your site and I plan on thoroghly checking it out further.

Comments: I was in Orlando recently in an old vinyl store and it occurred to me to see if my old IGTB was available. Unfortunately they did not have a copy, but they told me it was available on CD now, will wonders never cease! I ordered the CD today, but it will never replace the endless hours of looking through an album, along with the cover notes and booklet that frequently would come with an LP. I hope the booklet will be with the CD, and I pray that my recollection of my teenage music years and this album are not disappointed. I remember I loved this album, as well as the entire concept, and it is through searching today to find the CD that I discovered your website. I hope you will continue it so fans of this album and similar music can communicate.
I know just how you feel. The CD's originally came with the booklet, I believe they still do, so you will be able to relive the "glory-days" to some extent. The booklet is a fairly good reproduction of what the original (LP-sized) booklet was, considering some changes were necessary to fit the smaller size of a CD, all-in-all I think you will be pleased. The only thing you will not get is the record-sleeve with the Vibra-Corp catalog items and the order form... my site is the only place I know of where those are still available! If you really want one of the original vinyl LPs, one pops up every now and then on ebay, but they rarely include the booklet, and never the sleeve! I got my original LP enshrined, as you might imagine, and use the CD for my "dose". Play it often, play it LOUD!

Comments: I was just browsing the web and came across your "Intergalactic Touring Band" web site. I am not sure if the web-site is out of date - most people who signed the guest book up to 2005 were expressing a desire for the album to be released on CD. Just on the unlikely chance that you were not aware of this - the CD has been released and I picked up my copy yesterday. Not sure how long it has been available.

Comments: First I wanted to thank you for the great, great IGTB website. I came across the LP in a used record shop many years ago and it has been among my most favorite recordings. Inspired by the nostalgia of your site I went looking for the CD and ended up downloading the album from eMusic.com. Imagine! IGTB on my PDA! I'm sure that your site was a major factor in the record companies decisions to re-issue the album, so thank you for that too.

Comments: Very nice web site. I finally tracked down my IGTB CD from Artist-Shop.com What can I say? IGTB is a classic from beginning to end. "Starship Jingle" is one of Pepe Marchello's best tracks. I remember seeing the Good Rats perform in Port Chester, New York and Pepe simply smiled at the crowd's requests for "Starship Jingle". Did you know that the Good Rats have a song "Victory in Space" on their "Rats to Riches" album. Annie Haslam's "Reaching Out" is also a very fine track. Do you know if any of the IGTB songs were performed live?

Comments: Thank you.
So, where to begin?
  1. great website.
  2. obviously, you are one of the brighter humans, in that you are IGTB oriented.
  3. I have the album, and the only other album that really rocks me the same way, is the album, Electronic Realization for Rock Orchestra by SYNERGY. the cuts SYNERGY and RELAY BREAKDOWN are my favorites.
  4. IGTB... has probably occupied too much of my life. More sci-fi dreaming than I would care to admit.
  5. I need a vibracon globe and just some 200-300 Drime household robot to get by. Those 1000+D "space-babe" models are just a bit to scary.
I once heard about one of those models with the "special features" package that went wild at a Frat party and... Uh... sorry... reality sucks. Well... my reality doesn't suck, but compared to my dream world, as a space commando, or in a world where I could serve my country and kill bugs, like they do in StarShip Troopers, or in a retro world like Sky Captain-and the world of tomorrow...
But.. alas... it is all in my head.
And yours sounds like that it is very much built the same way.
Thank you for your tribute. Music like this, makes simple science fiction come alive.
Be well.
Thank you for your visit! I agree we have much in common, at least on the daydream side—on some things we differ, though, the fancy 1000-drimes models ferinstance...Please, SCARE ME! —GRIN— That frat-party you heard about was probably the one at my place. And no matter what you heard, THERE WERE SURVISOR! We did have to burn a few ships, though, but hey, it was that or the Commandoes confiscated the rest of the...er...inventory...anyway...it was all back in the 80's and no one can prove a thing. ...ahhhh! (Ain't it great!) Thank you again for your visit, and a letter that lifted my spirits on a very nasty day, (power cells ran out on my Venus-1000, y'know?) Here's hoping that this will do the same for you... Play it often, play it LOUD! BURN THE SHIPS!

Comments: Fantastic site, I was in the loft earlier today, and came across a 45 with Love station on it. I wondered if there was any info on the 'net. I did have the album, but had to sell my record collection way back to finance an engagement ring, aah the cost of true love. Good luck with the pressure to get the album re-released, I would definitely buy it.

Comments: Hi! I really love your website! IGTB rules! I have the record album and it is still in very good condition. (Mostly because I don't have a turntable). Many moons ago I was able to record it to a cassette tape. That is dying rapidly. I hope to get the CD soon and I am also looking to get permission to re-record the entire album. I wonder if I could get Meatloaf to re-record KEEPER...

Comments: A word to the powers that be: release the IGTB recording on CD! Many people are impressed by the collection of talent involved with the "band". It's about time that the people of Earth get a chance to hear again this interesting project from some of the leading progressive rock artists of the 70s. Kudos to the Kongaloid master for this ingenuous website.

The Dave Cousins track, "Heartbreaker", on the IGTB album is of great interest to Strawbs fans. Really nice site, nice touches (though I think they'll have grown out of animated gifs by 3077 -grin-. Comments: Well done Steve, I bought this album when it was first released (yes I'm that old!) and I still have the cassette. If it were released on CD I'd buy it. The short peice "Approach" has stuck in my mind ever since the first listen. I've seen some unfavourable reviews but then I don't suppose it is to everyone's taste. I used to search out what I know as fringe music but that term has changed its meaning now. Anyway let's hope for a re-release.

Comments: Hi there: Wonderful website about the IGTB. Any chance that you could provide mp3 files from these songs? I've owned the album of the IGTB but unfortunately lost it on its way from Germany to the States before I could digitize it with my CD Creator. Thanks much! JML
Sorry, man! Even in MP3 format, the IGTB is protected by International Copyright Laws. No one can provide copyrighted material in any way unless they have written authorization from the owners of the copyrights. However, a number of LP auction sites have the IGTB lp available for sale (in various states of preservation) you might try to find a copy through them. Good luck, man!

Comments: I have the original release of the IGTB album on the Passport label. It is in mint condition and I also consider it to be a prized holding. It would be nice to see this released in CD format. For now I may just download it to a CD-R. The artwork scans are a challenge since they are virtually unavailable (I don't have access to a good scanner). Please let me know if you have any success in reaching the producers as Passport has been out of business for quite some time now. Good luck.

Well the IGTB tracks have finally shown up on Napster! I had made a CD-R from my much played LP (complete with tics & pops) so it is nice to hear it clean again. I would still love to buy a digital transfered CD. This is one of my 2 favorite Sci-Fi themed LPs. (the other is Klaatu's "Hope")

Comments: "Burn the ships!".

Hey! Thanks, man! I'm currently checking on the posibility of posting MP3s without violating copyrights. If it's a go, I'd be happy to post yours on the site. So hang on to them for now, I should know soon if this can be done and you'll hear from me then.

Comments: EXCELLENT site. I have talked to Larry Fast about getting IGTB re-released on CD. Not too much progress there. I DID manage to get a SEALED copy of the LP and I transferred that recording to CD myself, but old vinyl is old vinyl. It ain't perfect. I DO have one rare item - The Vibra Corporation Christmas LP. It's not "spacey" or Sci-Fi, but it DOES have the same production values as the IGTB LP. It's got the kids from First Landing (Home, Home, Journey's End) singing "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day". Also, Pepe' Marcello, who sang Starship Jingle is an acquaintance of mine. Best of luck with this site. I CONTINUE to be impressed by the IGTB and now have my daughter singing along! Fred

Comments: Awesome pages, one of my favorite albums! Bakeman's Favorite Albums ( I own 2 copies ) My wife had a jacket made for me about 15 years ago with the VIBRA logo embroidered on it, in beautiful shades of Blue and Grey. I will try to send you a Digital photo! You are truly one of the few that will appreciate it! I wore it a lot back then and I only once had someone recognize it for what it was. I was at a listening party for the new Alan Parsons Lp in Los Angeles during the mid 80's and someone there flipped when they saw my jacket. So I know there is at least one more fanatic out there! I am curious about how you filled in the blanks on the documents...
Back in the ultra-early 80's, I became very curious about what was missing in the documents. I read them all over and over again and began to notice a certain pattern. It then became relatively easy to extrapolate most of the missing text, although the ones that deviate too much from the pattern were beyond hope, (like the Justice Conrad case). P.S. I would love to see that jacket!

Comments: Yo IMA! Love the site! Brings back warm memories of sitting on the floor of your apartment 16 floors up, discussing vibracon technology, nova-hopping and the answer to life, the universe and everything. While surfing the net a while back, I came across a store in Brazil (?!) they had a mint condition IGTB for sale. For the life of me I can't remember the address. Hopefully we can get the powers that be to re-issue this great album. I the meantime, if at all possible, send me a cassette recording to tide me over until the IGTB returns to Earth for that all-so-grand and long-awaited concert. 'Til we can be together again and chow down on some of your hoksu-fusso.
Oh, man! Sorry Bob, no can do. I am honor-bound to respect the royalties of the artists involved in the IGTB project, so I'm afraid you'll have to relly on your memories of the concert to enjoy them, unless of course you do find that site in Brazil. How about this idea, take a vacation in Mexico and I'll play you my IGTB albums while we sit on the floor and discuss the Ultimate Question to the Ultimate Answer over some hot plates of mexican Hoksu-Fusso. Does that grab you by the boo-boo? Mi casa es su casa, hermano!

Comments: Mafu, I loved your IGTB page! It's a wonderful tribute to a sadly forgotten project. I found IGTB when I was in college.... The talent that came together for this album is incredible... The writers, producers, musicians and singers all in one place was wonderful. But there was one thing missing from your page..... and announcement of a re-release of the original album on CD or (better yet!) a new release. For either one, I would be at the front of the line, waiting for them to open up the shipping cartons! Thanks for the fond memories...and the hope that I'll be able to listen to IGTB in nice, clean digital rather than my old vinyl.... Hmmm.... where IS that old turntable?
