The IGTB web site has now been on-line for one Earth year. It has been a very exciting year. I want to thank all of those who visited my site, especially those who wrote to me and sent their comments and memories of the IGTB. Also I want to say hello to our friends in the Russian Federation Zone 5, (UTZ +6.00), whoever you are, come back and sign the guestbook, won't you?
This year I will be adding new pages to the site which I hope will make the IGTB experience more enjoyable. Actually, I will be completing the original plan for the site, which included the transcripts of all the documents that come with the IGTB album. I was unable to do this from the start because of my move to Mexico. As some of you know, the IGTB site was originally conceived in Puerto Rico, although it was not available on-line until after I had moved to Mexico. That move interrupted the project for almost one year.
I knew that I would not be able to ship all of my things (including my computer) to Mexico with me, and that they would have to wait in a warehouse until I get the Mexican Government to approve my residence. So I burned a recordable CD with the contents of my hard disk before the movers came, and took that CD to Mexico with me. The IGTB pages were completed with the material I had there. The pages I will add are transcripts of the VibraCorp Communiqués that are photographed in the IGTB booklet, which is now with my IGTB albums (yes, I have two, no I will not sell them, sorry), which are in a crate on a ship en-route to Veracruz. So now that I will have the IGTB albums with me I will be able to complete the IGTB Web Site project as it was originally intended.
Other changes that will be made to the site will include an on-line archive of these newsletters, new color scans of the IGTB artwork, the IGTB profiles of the band members, and information on where IGTB albums may be found. Also, (I hope), more links to the IGTB artists. These will be added as they are found. So far only Larry Fast and Annie Haslam are linked as they both have sites on the web.
The first of these changes is the IGTB Guest Book, which I am pleased to announce is already on-line. If you are among those who share my love for this album, and haven't signed the book yet, I urge you to visit the site again, and sign it. Eventually I hope to have a petition form on-line for those who want the producers of the IGTB to know that they are interested in a re-issue, but I can't do that yet. The producers of the IGTB have not authorized it. For the time being, I am simply collecting testimonials from you, when I have enough of these I will mail them to the producers as evidence that a re-issue may be worth their while.
I have other ideas in the works, but I'm afraid I can't talk about those, yet. If I am successful, you will learn about those in future newsletters. In any case, the IGTB Web Site will surely continue to grow and change as time goes by. Your ideas and comments are, as always, welcome, so don't be shy and let me know what you think.
In the mean time, I keep searching the net for IGTB material. Unfortunately, I seem to be it, for now, with the sole exception of the "Keeper Keep Us" MP3 recording mentioned above. Several sites have linked to the IGTB pages but only as a reference to the album in record compilations. That's cool. Yet most of the IGTB visitors seem to come in directly to the IGTB main page (not through a search engine) which makes me think that a lot of you are sending the IGTB address to friends. That's even cooler! I would ask that you also forward this newsletter to your friends. Even if they have never heard the songs, they might get interested enough to petition for a re-issue, and that makes an IGTB CD all the more likely to become a reality.
Thank you,
